Strong performance at the TRA 2018 in Vienna
In 2018 the Transport Research Arena took place at Messe Wien and tbw research was strongly represented.
In the session ‘Local Accessibility, Active Mobility, Bikes and Soft Modes, Cable Car, On-Demand’ Clemens Raffler presented the ACTIV8-model titled ‘What makes and breaks active travel? A statistical model for evidence-based decision-making in transport policy for non-motorized modes’.
Since the beginning of 2018 he and Roland Hackl have been working together with business partners and representatives from Upper Austria and Styria as users in a follow-up research project to further develop and test the models resulting from a previous three-year research projec.
In the run-up to the Women’s Reception of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT) on April 18, 2018, Angela Muth and Marlene Hawelka presented results and an outlook on the research projects SEAMLESS (Gender & Diversity Toolbox) and active2work.
As part of the Women’s Reception the WIMEN–association signed the ‘Declaration on equal opportunities for women and men in the transport sector’. tbw research is partner of the WIMEN-network.
